Faith of our Fathers.

For generations men have sustained themselves spiritually with these devotionals and others like them. The Sign of the Cross, the Holy Rosary, the Litany of Saint Joseph, Holy Mass, and Eucharistic Adoration provide for the Men of Signum Crucis the necessary tools for spiritual warfare and eternal salvation.

The Sign of the Cross

The sign of the cross is a beautiful gesture which reminds the faithful of the cross of salvation while invoking the Holy Trinity. Technically, the sign of the cross is a sacramental, a sacred sign instituted by the Church which prepares a person to receive grace and which sanctifies a moment or circumstance. Along this thought, this gesture has been used since the earliest times of the Church to begin and to conclude prayer and the Mass.

The Rosary is a Scripture-based prayer. It begins with the Apostles' Creed, which summarizes the great mysteries of the Catholic faith. The Our Father, which introduces each mystery, is from the Gospels. The first part of the Hail Mary is the angel's words announcing Christ's birth and Elizabeth's greeting to Mary. The Mysteries of the Rosary center on the events of Christ's life. There are four sets of Mysteries: Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and the Luminous.

In the Litany of Saint Joseph, the Church invokes the most chaste Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the foster father and Guardian of the Redeemer, and patron saint of the Universal Church.

St. Joseph, Foster Father of the Son of God and Patron Saint of the Men of Signum Crucis, pray for us.

Holy Mass

Every so often, Men of Signum Crucis meetings will be devoted to Holy Mass. The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. Gathering to worship God in the spirit of fraternity is an absolute blessing for all those in attendance.

Adoration

The Men of Signum Crucis understand that the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. Occasionally, meetings are devoted to spending time before our Blessed Lord present in the Eucharist.

Prayer Requests

Your prayer requests will be read during our monthly Rosary.

Be assured of our prayers.
